APPLICATION DOCUMENTS
Note: Please make sure you are using the application form and declarations for the current admission campaign 2026, which are published here. Please do not use any old forms from previous campaigns.
1. Secondary School Diploma and Diploma Supplement with a certified translation into Bulgarian language.
*In case there is no grading scale attached to the diploma, candidates have to present an official document with the grading system description.
2. An official document issued by the, National Center for Information and Documentation (NACID) certifying the recognition of the secondary education;
3. Eligibility letter - an official document issued by an accredited body, certifying the applicant’s right to pursue their studies at Higher Education Institutions in the country where secondary education was obtained.
4. Copy of Passport / ID card
5. Application Form
6. Declaration - Consent to the processing of personal data
7. Declaration - Info true and authentic, health status
8. Academic Transcript – for students, applying for a partial course of study;
*Documents must be certified, legalized and translated in accordance with the International requirements:
• for countries that have a mutual legal assistance agreement with Bulgaria concerning certification of documents, the agreement requirements shall apply;
• for member countries under the Hague Convention, documents are certified with Apostille stamps.
9. Declaration Legal representative - Info true and authentic
Note: For students who have acquired their high school education in the UK or in a school teaching and assessing under the UK educational system the requirements for high school educational documents are as follows:
- General Certificate for Secondary Education (GCSE) and Advanced levels (A-Levels) in three subjects, or
- Business and Technology Education Council (BTEC) National extended diploma, or
- Access to Higher Education diploma, accompanied with a document, confirming that Access to Higher Education diploma provides the right for continuing ones’ education in a high education institution, or
- T-Level certificate, accompanied with a document, confirming that T-Level certificate provides the right for continuing ones’ education in a high education institution.
ADMISSION PROCESS
The candidates have to scan all pages of the required documents in separate PDF files, properly named, starting with the name of the candidate and containing the name of the documents, for example:
- John Smith – Passport
- John Smith – High school diploma apostilled and translated
- John Smith – Application Form
- John Smith – Eligibility letter
- John Smith – Passport photo
- John Smith – Power of Attorney
- John Smith – Certificate from NACID
- John Smith – English language certificate
- John Smith – POP (proof of payment of admission fee)
- John Smith – etc.
The applicants need to register at st.uniburgas.bg and upload all of the scanned documents there.
Upon approval of the listed documents, the successful applicants who have been ranked and who are willing to enroll at BSU must submit the original documents to the Department of International relations.
